Our Fundraising Goal: 114% Goal $44,000.00 $50,168.00 Raised Donate Now Since its inception, our annual February fundraiser has raised over $400,000 for technology at DeSoto Trail Elementary School. These funds have helped us reach an incredible technology standard: a laptop for every student in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade, a Surface Pro tablet computer for every teacher, a complete set of digital science probes, multifunction printers for every classroom pod, interactive whiteboards and digital projectors or panels in every classroom, full classroom audio systems, and much more. The fundraiser has also provided state-of-the-art equipment for initiatives like WDTS News, the Talented and Gifted Program, physical education (a paved running track), and resources for Pre-K, ESE, and Special Area classrooms, and has helped us keep up with our technology maintenance needs. Each year, a portion of the funds also goes directly to teachers to purchase much-needed classroom materials. Last summer we completed implementation our one-to-one laptop initiative in grades 3-5. This year, the funds raised by the TFA will be used to upgrade computing devices in our pre-k through second grade classrooms.
